The All Fifty Club Conference took place in Richmond, VA, on September 27, 2025. The Driveby Tourist is featured in a conference booth. Like many posts here, this one is a work in progress, which should be marked complete after the conference. Included here is the presentation displayed at the booth. Here’s the link to The Driveby Tourist website about visiting all fifty states. And here’s a link to the All Fifty States Club!!

Here are the slides for the All Fifty Club Conference

I had fun showing how much time I’ve spent in each state and highlighting the states with the most time in color. You can use the QR code to see the details. It’s mostly for my own use, but some who are “numbers people” might enjoy it!

Below are the three parts of the map I made for visiting all 26 states east of the Mississippi River!

Did you know that blogs are typically reader supported? So, buy me a hot chocolate! Or not!.

In March and April of 2025, I visited sixteen states, seeing US Presidential sites and National Park sites. I was on the road for six weeks!

My recent trip to visit the Presidential sites and National Parks. I’ve included the “official” Presidential Museums and Libraries and other sites related to US Presidents. I’ve included National Park units along with nine National Parks.

These are maps showing that I’ve driven to all 48 contiguous states.

And, of course, include the places I visited in Alaska and Hawaii.

Lastly, I end with other road trips I’ve taken to visit states in the US. The earlier map shows my most visited states, and the link (QR code) will show as much detail as I remember (!) about my visits!

Want to see a shop for my road trip photos? You can have them printed as wall art or puzzles. They also work on coffee mugs, t-shirts and more! So, take a look. Maybe you'll see something you will like!

By the way, the entire song referenced below lists 90 places. Just for fun, I counted them and found that I’ve visited 63 of them. That might be a fun exercise for some of you 50-Staters!

Classic Rock Recollection

“I’ve Been Everywhere” by Johnny Cash

I was totin’ my pack along the dusty Winnemucca road
When along came a semi with a high an’ canvas covered load
“If you’re goin’ to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride”
And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside
He asked me if I’d seen a road with so much dust and sand
And I said, “Listen, I’ve traveled every road in this here land”

Initially written by Geoff Mack for Australia. The song has been adapted into several versions in America, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand. Of course, Texas had to create its own version!
